“Green Water”
Flow Rates are based on a UV exposure rate of 30,000 µWs/cm2,
which exceeds the established 22,000 µWs/cm2 for waterborne
algae. In addition our “Green Water” Flow Rates are
based on the individual UV Sterilizer’s actual capacity, considering new
UV lamp performance, UV lamp “UV Output in the 250-280 nm range”, UV
lamp length and lamp positioning inside the UV exposure chamber. “Green
Water” Flow Rates use a .45 absorption coefficient factor following the
UV guidelines demonstrated in the EPA Design Manual for Municipal Waste
Water Disinfection.
